Asia Weiss Limited
Asia Weiss was established on January 1, 2010, as the sister company of Switzerland’s Weiss Engineering Ltd. It is a joint venture between Weiss Engineering Ltd. President Daniel Weiss and audiophile records producer Kent Poon. Asia Weiss Limited handles all of Weiss Engineering Ltd.’s work in the Asia region. Its commitment is simple: to supply state-of-the-art audio equipment to music studios and residential customers alike.
Square Wave Limited
Square Wave was established on 1 August 2010 as an audio company specializing in multi-brand B2B distribution and B2C retail across Asia. We represent more than 50 international high-end and professional audio brands. Headquartered in Hong Kong, we have expanded our branch offices to major cities and countries across the region.
Design w Sound
Design w Sound was established in February 2006 as a high-end production and consultancy company. After returning to Hong Kong, I worked as an audio consultant for several market-leading audio manufacturers and distributors. Today, our audio production work—including recording, mixing, and mastering—is carried out under the Design w Sound name. We have had the privilege of contributing to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Records and producing hundreds of acclaimed, high-quality recordings for the audiophile market. Our production skills and knowledge of audio technology are highly respected within the industry.
Montreux Jazz Festival China
The legendary Swiss music festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, expanded into China in 2021. Under the theme “When West Meets East,” the festival presents an eclectic program that brings together Chinese and Asian music with jazz, which has been enjoying renewed popularity in the country in recent years. This partnership reflects the Montreux Jazz Festival’s ambition to build connections across continents and bring different musical cultures together. I was invited to serve as CTO of Montreux Jazz Festival China, overseeing the technical aspects of its concerts, with a particular focus on audio engineering. We look forward to offering high-resolution, immersive streaming alongside our live concerts.
Jazz World Records
Founded in 2021 by Clarence Chang and Kent Poon, Jazz World Records is a Hong Kong-based label dedicated to promoting jazz through high-fidelity recordings and thoughtful curation. Through his Jazz World Live Series, Clarence Chang has helped bring renowned jazz artists such as Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea to Hong Kong audiences. Building on this legacy, the label supports local and international musicians, helping their music reach listeners with superior sound quality. By combining audiophile recordings with distinctive programming, Jazz World Records celebrates jazz’s diversity, broadens its appeal, and strengthens Hong Kong’s presence in the global jazz community.
